OPYO Parents' Guild
Our Mission: "To support the operations of Ozarks Philharmonic Youth Orchestras and provide an exceptional orchestral experience that encourages students to learn, share, and enjoy the performance of music to the benefit of the community."
Every parent who has a child enrolled in OPYO is a member of the Parent Guild. The Parent Guild is an independent, non-profit group that was organized by parents to support the Ozarks Philharmonic Youth Orchestras. This support includes the following:
The Parent Guild plans and hosts fundraising activities and events to provide needs based scholarships to students who wish to participate in OPYO.
We also provide mentoring and sectional leaders for beginning and intermediate students.
The members of the Parent Guild are the Youth Orchestras' greatest cheerleaders. They help fill the auditorium at concerts, keep practices running smooth and provide opportunities for students to get to know each other outside of regular rehearsals.
Parent Guild activities and meetings are opportunities for parents and students to meet, share information and find friends. As most music students know, it's not just about the music. Having connections with other like-minded families enhances our orchestra and our lives!
