The OPYO Orchestras
Andante OrchestraThe ANDANTE ensemble is a string orchestra for beginning string students whose aim is to refine technique and hone their ability to play within an ensemble. ANDANTE students participate in our marquee winter and spring concerts as well as community events throughout NW Arkansas.

Presto OrchestraThe PRESTO ensemble is OPYO’s intermediate string orchestra aimed at string students with several years of playing experience. PRESTO musicians learn advanced string technique, style, and ensemble balance to prepare them for placement in OPYO’s Youth Symphony Orchestra. PRESTO participates in our marquee winter and spring concerts as well as outreach events throughout NW Arkansas.

Youth Symphony of the OzarksYSO is OPYO’s premiere ensemble for advanced string, wind and percussion students, providing them an opportunity to play in a full symphony orchestra. Students perform works from the standard orchestral repertoire, including selections from Berlioz, Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and more. YSO members participate in 5+ concerts each season including our marquee winter and spring concerts and several community concerts in NW Arkansas featuring the winner of the OPYO annual concerto competition.
