Parent Volunteering opportunities
Rehearsal Setup: Volunteers are responsible for setting up the seating for each ensemble before each rehearsal. Volunteers must arrive 30 minutes before rehearsal and complete the setup 10 minutes before rehearsal begins. Volunteers also assist the conductors in their preparation for rehearsal. (Approximately a one hour time commitment. Available every OPYO rehearsal.)
Andante - One Parent - One hour of volunteer credit per rehearsal.
Presto - One Parent - One hour of volunteer credit per rehearsal.
YSO - Two Parents - One hour of volunteer credit per rehearsal per parent.
Tuition and Attendance: Volunteers assist the orchestra manager with taking tuition payment, writing receipts, and taking student attendance. Volunteers should arrive 30 minutes before rehearsal begins and and leave after the YSO break. Parents will earn three hours of volunteer credit per rehearsal. (Approximately a two hour time commitment. Only available during the first three weeks of each season.)

Concert Stage Hands: Volunteers help the equipment manager, orchestra manager, and conductors set the concert stage for each ensemble, reset the stage between performances, and strike the stage after performance. Volunteers are to arrive at the concert venue 30 minutes before the concert begins and should plan to help through the end of the concert. Parents will earn three hours of volunteer credit per concert. (Approximately a three hour time commitment. Available every OPYO concert.)

February 23, 2018 - OPYO Student Recital - 3 parents
March 30, 2018 - YSO Community Outreach Concert - 5 parents
April 22, 2018 - El Dia de los Ninos Community Concert at Crystal Bridges - 5 parents
May 12, 2018 - OPYO Spring Concert - 8 parents
